Details:

After making a series of portraits of writers in 1997, who (accidentally) all ended up cross-eyed,
I wondered whether there's was possibly a link between 'being cross-eyed' & 'being creative'.
By placing an ad in 'Vrij Nederland' (Dutch magazine) in 1998 I found several slightly cross-eyed
women who I first photographed and started to draw. The series was going have at least seven
large portraits, but the project was never finished because I went to the RCA halfway-through
& got caught up in London life and RCA-projects.
I did manage to win 2nd prize in Taunton Drawing Competition for the second portrait (self-portrait)

The answer to my question came six years later:

(article in Dutch)

or (more indepth) article in English:
"An inability to see the world with normal depth perception can be an advantage to an artist,
who must flatten a view to render it accurately, Margaret Livingstone said."
