Zo verkruimelt het koekje, Basisschool De Buutplaats, Den Haag, 2005
Public art project - 35 Enamle plates of different sizes & a book (1000 copies)

For over a year Babette collected proverbs from different languages and cultures on the website www.nieuwenederlandsespreekwoorden.nl The idea behind it was that - translated into Dutch - these proverbs could become 'New Dutch Proverbs'. Babette then sellected about 30 proverbs and illustrated them.

35 enamle plates were made with text & illustrations on them and they now decorate primary school 'De Buutplaats'.

Rieme Gleijm designed a book with all the illustrated proverbs, which was given to all the children at the school.

The project was funded by The Mondriaan Stichting & gemeente Den Haag.
It is part of Stroom's 'Kunst op Haagse Scholen' - project.
